Integration · Shopify + WhatsApp

Shopify order updates on WhatsApp. And cash-on-delivery confirmations.

Order confirmations, dispatch and delivery updates sent on WhatsApp from your Shopify store, and cash-on-delivery orders confirmed by the customer before you ship them.

Is this the right service?
  • Shopify Admin API
  • WhatsApp Business Platform
  • Order updates
  • COD confirmation
How the connection works
  1. Shopify

An order is placed, packed or shipped.

  2. Connector

Picks the template, adds the order details and tracking link.

  3. WhatsApp

The customer gets the update, and can confirm a COD order with one tap.

The confirmation is written back to the Shopify order.

01 / Is this the one

Is this the connection you need?

It suits a store whose customers ask "where is my order" on WhatsApp already.

The right choice when

  • Cash-on-delivery orders get refused at the door.
  • Your courier's updates do not reach the customer.
  • You want your own rules, such as different messages for repeat buyers or high-value orders.

Look elsewhere when

  • A Shopify app does what you need at a price you accept. Use it.
  • You want marketing broadcasts. WhatsApp limits and charges for those.
  • Your order volume is small enough to message by hand.

02 / What the work covers

What the work covers.

Order and dispatch messages first, then COD confirmation and courier updates.

  1. 01

    Messages and rules

Which order events send what, in which language, and when to stop.

  2. 02

    Shopify access

A custom app in your store with only the scopes needed, and webhooks for order events.

  3. 03

    WhatsApp templates

The business number, templates Meta must approve, and the opt-in at checkout.

  4. 04

    Back into Shopify, and handover

Confirmations tagged on the order, every message logged, code and accounts handed to you.

03 / Limits and risks

Where it can go wrong.

WhatsApp sets the rules for messages you start

A message the business sends first must use a template Meta has approved, and Meta charges for most of them. Replies within 24 hours of the customer's last message are free-form.

Courier data varies

Tracking updates are only as good as the courier's own data. Some send events, some must be checked on a schedule.

Checkout opt-in is required

Customers must agree to WhatsApp messages at checkout. Orders without it get email instead.

04 / What we can show

The same idea, as our own product.

ZeroDelay.si connects business software to WhatsApp, Telegram and the web, so a team asks and gets answers, and staff send updates that wait for approval. Its Shopify connection is built and tested by our team. FocusPulse, our market-news product, already delivers its briefings on Telegram.

What this does not show

A client project. ZeroDelay.si is in early access, and we have no published client case study of this integration.

A little clarity

Before connecting Shopify to WhatsApp.

Can we see it working?

Yes. This connection is built and tested by our team, and we can demo it for you on a free call before you decide anything.

Does it work with any courier?

With any courier that offers tracking data, by webhook or by an API we check on a schedule. Shopify's own fulfilment tracking works without extra setup.

Can customers reply?

Yes. Replies within 24 hours are free-form, and they can go to your support team or to a simple bot for order status.

Is there not an app for this already?

Sometimes there is, and if a vendor's own app or a no-code tool does what you need, use it: it is cheaper. A built connection earns its place when the rules are yours, such as which records go, who sees what, what happens when the two systems disagree, or when the volume makes per-task pricing expensive.

What does it cost?

It depends on the number of message types and couriers. First releases at NSDBytes start from $5,000. The project cost estimator gives a range, and a fixed quote follows a free scoping call. Charges from the services themselves, such as WhatsApp messages, API plans and hosting, are billed by those providers and are separate.

Who owns the connection once it is built?

You do. The code, the server it runs on and the accounts with each provider are yours once the final invoice is paid. We can run and maintain it afterwards if you want, but you are never locked in.

Start wherever you are

Bring the questions customers ask most.

We'll show you which messages answer them before they ask.
