01 / What it does

From a noisy news day to a short briefing.

FocusPulse provides information, not investment advice. It makes no buy or sell calls and gives no price targets.

  1. 01

    Read

500+ articles a day from 30+ business and markets publishers. Opinion pieces, listicles and broker buy or sell calls are dropped on the way in.

  2. 02

    Group

Coverage of the same story from different outlets is merged into one, so it is read once.

  3. 03

    Link

Each story is checked for the instrument it concerns: a listed company, a commodity, an index or the rupee.

  4. 04

    Brief

A short briefing goes out on Telegram and Web Chat. A thin news day gets a short briefing, not filler.

02 / The MCP server

The same stories, inside your AI assistant.

A public MCP server brings the same stories into Claude, Cursor and other AI assistants. Free beta. No account or key.

The tool

search_storiesRead-only

News stories from the last 48 hours for India or the United States that are linked to a listed company, a commodity, an index or the rupee.

2,000
of stories kept
48 h
Inputs and what comes back
country"IN" or "US", required
The market the story affects.
querytext, optional
Words to look for: a company, a commodity or a topic.
hours1 to 48, default 24

limit1 to 10, default 5
Stories per page.
cursortext, optional
The next page of the same search.

Each story has a headline, a summary, one sentence on what it reports about the linked instruments, the instruments themselves, and up to three sources with links. The tool only reads. It changes nothing.

Ask it

  • What are today's top market-linked stories in India?
  • Any news on crude oil in India in the last 48 hours?
  • Find Indian stories about Reliance from the last day and list their sources.

The service is a beta and may change. Coverage of the United States is newer and thinner than coverage of India. Summaries are written by software and may contain errors. The source links lead to the original reporting.

03 / How it is run

Decisions you can check in the product.

A product in daily use has to settle its awkward cases. These four are stated in FocusPulse's own documentation.

01

No model, no briefing

A briefing that no model actually wrote is held back rather than sent.

02

Limits that answer back

60 requests a minute and 2,000 a day from one address. Going over returns HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header.

03

Refused, not quietly shortened

Stories are kept for a rolling 48 hours. A request for a longer lookback is rejected by the tool rather than cut down without saying so.

04

Rate limiting without storing who asked

For rate limiting the server keeps a salted one-way hash of the caller's IP address, deleted after two days. It does not store the address itself or what was searched for.

04 / How it works

FocusPulse in 6 steps.

An illustrated walkthrough with no sound. Each step is also written out here.

  1. 1

It reads the day's market news

500+ articles a day from 30+ business and markets publishers. Opinion pieces, listicles and broker buy or sell calls are dropped on the way in.

  2. 2

The same story is read once

Coverage of the same story from different outlets is merged into one, so it is read once.

  3. 3

Each story is linked to what it moves

Every story is checked for the instrument it concerns: a listed company, a commodity, an index or the rupee.

  4. 4

A short briefing arrives in chat

It goes out on Telegram and Web Chat. A thin news day gets a short briefing, not filler.

  5. 5

    Loaded language is flagged

Propaganda Shield flags emotionally loaded language and one-sided framing, on every plan.

  6. 6

The same stories, inside your AI assistant

A public MCP server brings them into Claude, Cursor and other AI assistants. Free beta, no account or key.

A little clarity

FocusPulse, briefly.

What is FocusPulse?

FocusPulse is our own AI product. It reads 500+ articles a day from 30+ business and markets publishers and sends a short briefing on Telegram and Web Chat. Each story is linked to the listed company, commodity, index or currency it concerns. FocusPulse provides information, not investment advice. It makes no buy or sell calls and gives no price targets.

Is the FocusPulse MCP server free?

Yes. It is a free beta with no account and no key, limited to 60 requests a minute and 2,000 requests a day from one address. The service is a beta and may change.

What can an AI assistant do with it?

It can call one read-only tool, search_stories. News stories from the last 48 hours for India or the United States that are linked to a listed company, a commodity, an index or the rupee. Each story has a headline, a summary, one sentence on what it reports about the linked instruments, the instruments themselves, and up to three sources with links.

Is FocusPulse investment advice?

No. FocusPulse provides information, not investment advice. It makes no buy or sell calls and gives no price targets.

Can NSDBytes build an MCP server for our own data?

Yes. MCP development is one of our AI services, and the FocusPulse server is the one we run ourselves. Tell us which systems your assistant needs to reach and we will scope it with you.
