CodeIgniter development
CodeIgniter is a lightweight PHP framework. We maintain and upgrade CodeIgniter systems that are still in service, and say plainly when Laravel is the better choice for something new.
01 / What we build
Bug fixes, new modules and reports for CodeIgniter applications already in use.
Version 4 is a rewrite, so the move is a migration. We plan it module by module.
For systems that have outgrown the framework, moved in stages with the data intact.
Light back ends where low overhead and simple hosting matter.
02 / How it connects
CodeIgniter 3 receives security fixes only. Each new PHP version makes staying on it harder.
Sign-in, queues and testing tools are add-ons. Someone has to choose them and keep them updated.
There are fewer developers and packages than for Laravel. That matters when you hire or need a ready-made integration.

Published work / Sports and HR
Fsports is a fantasy sports platform with a Flutter app and a PHP CodeIgniter back end, where scoring settles while play is still running. The HRMS brings payroll, attendance and core HR functions together for a corporate office.

Maintenance and new features for existing CodeIgniter applications, upgrades from version 3 to version 4, migration to Laravel where that makes more sense, and small new APIs or admin panels where a light framework is the right size.
We have shipped CodeIgniter systems you can read about: an HRMS for a corporate office and the back end of the Fsports fantasy sports platform. We also tell you honestly whether your system should stay on CodeIgniter or move.
CodeIgniter suits small and mid-sized systems. We have used it behind a fantasy sports platform with live scoring, so it can carry real load. For a large new product we would recommend Laravel instead, and explain why before you spend anything.
Yes. The two common routes are CodeIgniter 3 to 4 and CodeIgniter to Laravel. Neither is an in-place upgrade, so we move one module at a time, keep the old system running, and rehearse the data move before the switch.
Send the brief, or access to the existing code, through the enquiry form, or book a free scoping call. For an existing system we read the code first, so the estimate reflects what is really there.
