The operating challenge
The client wanted a dating app where people connect quickly over shared interests, and feel safe doing it. Every member needed a real profile, and the people shown to them had to fit what they were looking for.
The product approach
Matching starts from a filter: preferred age range, maximum distance and location. A profile photo is required, so members see faces and not blank accounts. Likes and a limited number of super likes let a member show how interested they are, and two people who like the same photo are added to each other's list.
