The challenge
The group operates hotels, inns, motels and cottages. Manual front-desk check-in created queues, while a complete replacement of the existing hotel stack would have introduced unnecessary operational risk.
Case study / Hospitality
MKL Hospitality Group is moving hotels, inns and motels from manual front-desk check-in to GMS, one property at a time.

Figures as of September 2026, during the continuing rollout.
01 / The rollout
GMS was introduced alongside the group’s existing SkyTouch property-management system. The rollout began in January 2026 and continues property by property.
The group operates hotels, inns, motels and cottages. Manual front-desk check-in created queues, while a complete replacement of the existing hotel stack would have introduced unnecessary operational risk.
GMS went in as a guest-management layer alongside SkyTouch. Moving one property at a time lets each front desk change over without requiring every location to transform on the same day.

02 / What runs
This is an NSDBytes product rollout, not commissioned custom software for the group.
Guests register and verify before travel.
Arrival can happen on the guest’s phone.
The phone can open the room.
Housekeeping and front-desk work share one place.
Satisfaction feedback stays in the same platform.
Rates can be managed from one console.
Routine night-time guest requests can be handled automatically.
What comes next
NSDBytes continues to support the GMS platform and is also building new property websites for the group.
In their words
“A standard check-in requires a dozen distinct data points. GMS instantly pre-populates existing guest profiles in milliseconds, prompting guests only for what’s missing. Back-office workflows are just as streamlined: verifying guest IDs and signatures for refunds used to be a tedious search—now it’s a single click.”
For hotel groups
Start with the workflow causing the most friction. A staged integration may be more useful than a rushed full replacement.
